Following God into the Hard

It’s one thing to follow God when God asks something easy of us, but it is another thing to follow God when we have a completely different plan that we think is easier or better. To help us make good choices in these situations it is helpful to understand how we think. We need to realize that oftentimes the problem isn’t that we don’t know what God wants, but that we want something completely different, and might already have our minds set on our own agenda. In this message Steve tells about Johanan and “the remnant” in the times of Jeremiah. They were set on fleeing to Egypt, but God told them to stay in Judah under extremely frightening circumstances.
