Galatians: Freedom amidst Rules

“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.” – Galatians 5:13

As Christians, we know that we are free, but also that we can’t just do whatever we want. We still have a set of rules that we are called to obey. What exactly, then, are we free from? And what happens when we break the “new rules?”
