Animation 12: Pharisees – Mr. Nice Guy?

When Jesus walked this Earth he consistently showed love and grace and acceptance.  Yet His love is much deeper than just trying to make people feel good.  In fact, He spoke surprisingly harsh words to a certain group of people, the Pharisees.  Why?  At least in part it was because the Pharisees thought they could achieve their own righteousness.  The truth is that our own efforts can never make us right with God.  Only the gift of God through Jesus’ sacrifice and His life being lived in us can bring us righteousness.   May we see the love of Jesus in His strong words and humbly respond in our own lives.
