Esther – Trusting the Grandmaster

If you had to play a game of high-stakes chess, would you accept the advice of a grandmaster? Would you even go so far as to taking the advice of the grandmaster even when it seemed like it was going to cost you dearly? This is similar to our wrestle of faith. There are times when God asks us to do something that from our point of view does not appear to be to our benefit. Other times it may seem that no real harm will come from ignoring God’s directives. The story of Esther reminds us that God does have a plan and knows what he is doing. We can follow Him in faith, trusting that the God of Esther and Mordecai is completely worthy of our trust.
