You Bring Pleasure to God

Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness.”

We are constantly and unconditionally loved by God.  But, the things we do are not always pleasing to God.  What pleases God?  He is not withholding his pleasure until we reach perfection.  He is pleased, not by our perfection, but when we trust in the perfect one.  He is pleased with every choice, although it is tainted with our human imperfection, that is done in faith, that is done knowing that he sees, that is done out of goodwill for his children.  God smiles with every act that is done not trying to earn acceptance or the praise of others, but is done knowing how loved we are, knowing who he has truly made us to be and living as such.  You truly bring pleasure to God.
